At the end of September 2016 Andorra began the process for the General Council to ratify the agreement with Portugal to avoid double taxation and also prevent tax evasion. For its part Portugal has approved the procedure of the agreement to the Assembly of the Republic, once completed its internal procedures. We recall that the double taxation agreement between Andorra and Portugal was signed in New York on 27 September 2015 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Gilbert Saboya and his Portuguese counterpart Rui Machete. Once the internal processes of each country have been completed, this agreement will become the next non-double taxation in force in Andorra, followed by Spain, France and Luxembourg.
