Many of the procedures related to the company formation in Andorra, procedures before the Andorran Commercial Registry, procedures related to civil and commercial law, legitimation of documents, drafting of powers of attorney, sale of real estate, etc. require the intervention of a notary in Andorra. Furthermore, the responsibilities of notaries in Andorra are broader than those carried out by their counterparts in other countries. For example, Andorran notaries manage, finance and organize the Central Registry of Last Wills and only they can issue certificates from this Registry.
Another peculiarity is that in Andorra there is no public real estate registry as in other countries, only the notarial registry where the communal cadastre and taxes, among others, are noted.
They are also in charge of collecting and paying taxes that have to do with the provision of the notarial service: real estate capital gains, real estate transfer tax, real estate IGI and corporate tax.
